The lower support bearing in the frame is gripped by a metal pin from the casement when the window is closed. The mushroom-shaped pin snaps in when bolting the window, rendering the levering out of the window from outside considerably more difficult. The mushroom pin has an average pullout resistance of 1220 kg!
